Saints alive - a sequel!
After plenty of speculation, GTA rival Saints Row is getting a much anticipated update. Saints Row 3 will see you start as a crime boss so it should offer a suitably different dynamic to its predecessors, and allow you to dive straight into the action.

Popular Populous comeback?
It’s official. Kind of. Joystiq has reported that games guru Peter Molyneux has been working on a 256 player update of his first God game Populous. The game, dubbed “Feed Me” was shown off at the GDC event.

New genre planned by Heavy Rain creators
The guy behind PS3 hit Heavy Rain, David Cage, has announced his lofty plans to “create a new genre”. According to an interview with CVG, Cage said that he wants Quantic Dream to come up with an emotional wargame – Call of Duty meets Heavy Rain...

UK a nation of gaming addicts
According to Microsoft, UK Xbox 360 owners spend an average of £64 each month on games for their beloved console. Other stats show that they play seven different games over that period too. Some 83% play three to four times a week, with 41% gaming for three or four hours per day. Is that all??

A Moving decision by Sony
VG24/7 says that Sony is planning to allow developers to get to grips with its Move peripheral – in much the same way that Microsoft is planning to let them play about with Kinect (see last week’s news roundup after the jump).
