Madden selling like hotcakes
Madden Madden NFL 13, the American Football franchise, has had a record-breaking first week, selling 1.65m units. An even more amazing statistic is that since its launch on 28 August, EA Sports’ Madden NFL 13 sold 900,000 units in its first 24 hours. Touchdown!

New gaming tablet priced at $499
The Wikipad, an Android gaming tablet which has detachable controlpads, will go on sale for $499 each. It will be available at GameStop on 31 October. If you're keen, pre-orders will open on 7 September. See Joystiq for more.

Dust off the W.A.S.P. Launcher
It's Helghast hunting time. CVG says the Killzone Trilogy collection will be available for PlayStation 3 on October 24, Sony has announced. The three game pack contains Killzone 1, 2 and 3, with the PS2 original being given a HD upgrade.

Well now you don’t need to imagine as Rovio is letting players change the role in Bad Piggies. The franchise continues and will be available to pretty much anyone with a smartphone.

Guild Wars 2 tops the UK charts
MCV says that massively multiplayer online role-playing game Guild Wars 2 has stormed the UK charts taking the No.1 spot. Guild Wars 2 is the first PC release to claim top of the charts since Football manager 2011 in November 2010.
